James "Jim" R. Coonan

James Coonan, age 67, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on March 31, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Francis Coonan II and Dorothy (Klenske) Coonan. He retired from Milton Electric Company in December 2022 after 47 loyal years. He loved classic rock music, classic cars and Baltimore sports teams. He was a kind person who loved his family and friends dearly and cherished any time he had with them.

James is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen Coonan; daughter, Jaime Myers; grandchild, James Myers; brother, Frank Coonan; mother-in-law, Norma Clavey; many loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his grandson, Aidan Myers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the McComas Celebration of Life Center, 1114 Baldwin Mill Road, Jarrettsville, MD 21084. There will be visitation from 11-12, with the service immediately following.
