James Hudson Smith

James Hudson Smith, 71, of Street, MD passed away on November 11, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Bel Air, he was the son of Charles E. Pyle of Jarrettsville and the late Harriett Elizabeth (Burton) Pyle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked for Crouse Construction for 40 years as a diesel mechanic. He was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Edna B. Smith; son, Elder Chuck Smith and wife, Catherine, of Jarrettsville; daughter, Beth Nowakowski and husband, Aram, of Darlington; brothers, John H. Smith of Williamsburg, PA, Richard W. Smith of Street and William L. Smith of Rising Sun; sisters, Betty Bryant of Riverview, FL, Kathy Lovelace of Bel Air and Sara Riley of Jarrettsville; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
