James H. Deaver

James H. Deaver, age 70, of Belcamp, MD, passed away on October 25, 2014, at his home. Born in Baltimore, he is the son of Frederick Henry Deaver and the late Josephine Sala Brauer. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during Vietnam on the USS Independence. A graduate of Sparrows Point High School, he has been a Harford County resident since 1979. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years and was the assistant manager at Bel Air Golf. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed watching old movies, vegetable gardening, playing cards, traveling and especially cruises. He loved to attend his grandchildren's events and games and enjoying time at his daughter's river house.

Mr. Deaver is survived by his sons, Brian Deaver Sr. and wife Pamela, of Fallston, Chris Deaver and wife Karen, of Joppa, daughter, Dawne Deaver of Alexandria, VA; fiancée, Mae Haber; brothers, Fred Deaver and wife, Doris, of Middle River, Grant Deaver and wife, Sue, of Pasadena and Pat Deaver and wife, Colleen, of Pasadena; sister, Gloria Fama and husband, Sal, of Spring Grove, PA; step-brother, Ken Partyka of Baltimore; grandchildren, Cherish Deaver, Brian Deaver II, Benjamin Deaver, Kathy Deaver, Jacob Deaver and Anna Deaver; friend and caregiver, Mary McCleary; and a host of extended family.
