James Edward Mason

JAMES EDWARDS MASON, of Abingdon, MD died December 11, 2003 at his home in Abingdon. He was 59. Born in Baltimore, February 23, 1944, he was the son of the late James William Mason and Thelma Alzinna Mason. Mr. Mason was a lifetime resident of Harford County and graduate of Bel Air High School in the class of 1964. He was a member of Way of Life Community Church in Bel Air. He worked for many years as a self-employed automotive mechanic. In later life he worked at Rodney’s Auto Machine and at Hersey Auto Parts. Family members say he was an avid aviation enthusiast who had owned several planes and had a love of flying. He was especially fond of performing aerobatics.

Mr. Mason is survived by his daughter, Tory G. Sonberg of Baltimore County; and his brother, William C. Mason of Joppa.
