JAMES DOUGLAS PEAK, age 63, of Port Deposit died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on May 11, 2005. Born in Havre de Grace, he was the son of the late Gale Dean and Mary Virginia Blevins Peak. He was a lifelong carpenter. A resident of Cecil County since 1988, he attended Franklin Baptist and Pleasant View Baptist Churches. He loved fishing and collecting antiques. He enjoyed watching sports, including football, loved NASCAR, and enjoyed hanging with his buddies.
Mr. Peak is survived by his wife of 15 years, Hedy Hedwig Oals Peak; one son, Mark E. Peak of LaGrange, Georgia; two daughters, Messina Enderlin of Whiteford, and Ashlea C. Peak of Port Deposit; two step-daughters, Lindsey M. Ragan of Churchville, and Lisa D. Ragan of Churchville; one brother, C. Kenneth Peak of Darlington; four sisters, Shirley A. Thompson of Street, Clara I. Brown of Belcamp. Patricia A. Fox of Darlington, and Linda Caldwell of Concord, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Bradley Sadler of Whiteford, McKenzie Enderlin of Whiteford, Katie Peak, Abigail Peak, and Jacob Peak all of LaGrange, Georgia, and Chloe A. Triplett of Churchville and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, S. Coriene Higgins.
Pallbearers will be: Gaylord Murdoff, Paul Benington, Larry Morris, Jimi Tobin, Norman Oals, Brent Cobb, Steve Marshall, and Danny Atwell.
