JAMES BUFARD BLACK, SR., age 75, of Joppa, MD, died on August 16, 2006 at his home. Born in Luray, VA, he was the son of the late James John Black and the late Virginia Taylor Boch. He was a crane operator in the steel industry. An avid collector of coins, he was a member of the MRCC Coin Club. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and old movies.
Mr. Black is survived by his wife, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage, Ivory Jewell Boggs Black of Joppa, MD; two sons, James B. Black, Jr. of Rising Sun, MD and Richard W. Black, Sr. of Abingdon, MD; four daughters, Patricia A. Deck of Jacksonville, FL, Karen L. Eller of Aberdeen, MD, Sandra J. Wood of Joppatowne, MD and Linda J. Blevins of Parkville, MD; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Black, Ricky Black, Matt Black, Michael Black, Jamie Deck, Stuart Simms, Jr., Jason Simms and Fredrick Wood, Jr.
