James Bernard Kentay Gamble

February 5, 1977 — January 20, 2022

James Bernard Kentay Gamble, age 44, of Nottingham, Maryland passed away on January 20, 2022, at GBMC Healthcare in Towson, Maryland. Born in Mobile, Alabama, he was the son of Augustine (Gamble) Mayfield and fiancé of Jessica Lockard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1999 and then graduated from Marine Corps Intelligence School in 2004. He loved playing football and even received a scholarship to play for The University of Alabama. James received a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida in 2006, a master’s in international relations from Webster University in Saint Louis, MO in 2009, and his LPN from Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in Lancaster, PA in 2021 which he was most proud of.    


 


In addition to his loving fiancée, Jessica Lockard, James is also survived by his son, Jakob Gamble; sisters, Shantel Barker and Toccarra Custis; brother, Rod Barker; Jessica’s parents, William Lockard, Sr. and Pixie Maes; Jessica’s siblings, Lauren (Kenneth) Reil and William Lockard, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
