James Aloysius Keifer

James Aloysius Keifer, age 71, of Joppatowne, MD, passed away on November 17, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Alphonse William and Anna McDevitt Keifer. He was a resident of Harford County for 34 years, a supervisor at the Port of Baltimore for the same number of years, and loved his grandchildren.

Mr. Keifer is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lilli Ann Hirsch Keifer of Joppatowne, MD; sons, James M. Keifer of Bel Air, MD, Mark J. Keifer (Jill) of Edgewood, MD and Erik D. Keifer (Rita) of Baltimore, MD; daughters, Lauran Bates (Peter) of Abingdon, MD, Corinne Keifer of Joppatowne, MD and Noreen Knight(Timothy) of Rising Sun, MD; brothers, Thomas Keifer of West Chester, PA, Richard Keifer of Mays Landing, NJ and John Keifer of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Anne Marie Bertoline of Philadelphia, PA; nine grandchildren(Heather, Mark, Chelsea, Brent, Zoey, Timothy, Sophia, Gwendolyn and Andrew), three great-grandchildren (Alexis, Korbin and Camden)and various nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Frank Keifer.
