Bel Air, Maryland – James Thomas Albright, age 15, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2024. Born in Towson, Maryland, James brought immense joy to his family and friends during his impactful life.
James was the beloved son of Brent and Elizabeth (Patrick) Albright. He attended Homestead Wakefield Elementary School and later graduated from Bel Air Middle School, earning a prestigious Presidential Academic Award. He continued his education at Bel Air High School.
A passionate sports enthusiast, James was an avid baseball and Orioles fan. His love for sports extended to sports broadcasting, a field he dreamt of contributing to in the future. James actively participated in baseball and flag football, showcasing his athletic prowess.
One of James's great joys was his fascination with snow and weather. He had a deep appreciation for U.S. history, often expressed through his love for hiking at National Parks and his enthusiasm for travel. James was determined to explore as many states as possible, always accompanied by his remarkable memory for sports statistics, history facts, and maps.
James's love for books and reading was evident to all who knew him. His infectious joy was a hallmark of his personality, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
James is survived by his cherished family, including his brother, Timothy Albright; sister, Catherine Albright; grandfathers, James Patrick, and Gary Albright; grandmothers, Karen Patrick, and Dolly Albright; great-grandmothers, Irene Albright, and Ann Patrick; uncles, Andrew (Amy) Patrick, and Sean "Shuncle" Patrick; aunt, Angela (Brian) Kirk; and cousins, Sam and Amelia Kirk, and Honora and Margaret Patrick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Just in Power Kids at 1363 Progress Way #385, Sykesville, MD 21784.
James's memory will forever be cherished, and his vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
