James Alan Bair, age 81, of Jarrettsville, Maryland passed on March 6, 2021. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Chauncey and Elizabeth ( nee Fryer) Bair. He was a member of Jarrettsville UMC and attended St. Paul’s UMC. He was a member of JUMC YOMETS. He was a past president and life member of the Jarrettsville Fire Company and Hall of Fame member of Harford County/Cecil County fire departments and the State of Maryland. Additionally, he was the State Treasurer of IOJD, past Associate Bethel Guardian of Bethel #19, Master Mason of Lafayette Lodge 111 of Baltimore City, current member of Warren Lodge #51, member of Eastern Star 83 in Parkton, and member of the Madonna Chapter of AARP 883. He was an avid hot air balloonist, volunteered at North Bend Elementary School and after he retired, Jim and Carol traveled all over the United States and Ireland. They shared 62 years of devotion to one another.
James is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Reidy) Bair; daughters, Sandy (John) Palmer, Suzanne Bair and Jamie (Andy) Linfield; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Neva) Bair and Edward (Jean) Bair; sister, Wanda Bair (Bonnie Kirkland); and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be hosting a memorial service on June 13, 2021 at the Jarrettsville Fire Company.
