Jacqueline Marie Maguire

Jacqueline Marie Maguire, age 92, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, at her home. Born in Annapolis, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Peter Sternberg and Elizabeth Alice (Lee) Sternberg and the beloved wife of the late John R. Maguire.

Jacqueline was a woman of immense curiosity and an adventurous spirit. She and her husband traveled the country extensively in their RV, exploring from coast to coast and creating cherished memories together. Their travels even extended overseas, where they visited their son John, further fueling her love for discovery and connection. Jacqueline’s intellectual curiosity was matched only by her deep and abiding love for her family, which she held above all else.

She is survived by her son, John Robert Maguire II, of Williamsburg, Virginia; and her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Brianna, who brought her immense joy. In addition to her parents and husband, Jacqueline was preceded in death by her siblings, Maurice Lee Sternberg and Mary Santos.

Jacqueline’s legacy of love, adventure, and curiosity will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
