Jackie Van Nostrand

Jackie Van Nostrand, age 87, of Catonsville, Maryland passed away on July 5, 2023 at Brightview Assisted Living in Catonsville, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of John Kairis and Catherine Matthews and wife of the late Elbert “Frank” Van Nostrand. For over 30 years, she was an active volunteer and manager for the Fallston Hospital & UCMC Gift Shops. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church occasionally with her son and his family. Jackie enjoyed gardening and playing cards, but mostly the joy of her life was raising her boys.
     
Jacqueline is survived by sons, Erik J. Van Nostrand of Ellicott City and Mark J. (Anne Marie) Van Nostrand of Bel Air; grandchildren, Andrew Van Nostrand, Jennifer Hipp, Laura Miles, Rebecca Van Nostrand and Tracie Kordek; great-grandsons, Cole Stephen Hipp, Hunter Warren Miles and Apollo Belarmino Van Nostrand; great-granddaughter, Annabel Cate Hipp; and brother, Michael Kairis.

The family will be hosting a celebration of Jackie’s life on Wednesday, July 12th, between 3-6pm, at the Tidewater Grille banquet room, 300 Franklin Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.  This will be a warm and social gathering with finger food and drink.  Guests can come and go as able. Dress is relaxed but “nice”.
