Jack Sexton, age 84, of Abingdon, MD passed away on March 6, 2018 at St. Mary's County Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. Born in Lansing, NC, he was the son of Russell Vaughn and Maude Marie (Childers) Sexton, and husband of the late Joanne M. Sexton, they had been married for 54 years. He retired in 1994 after 30 years of service with APG. He had been a resident of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home for the past year and enjoyed playing BINGO, painting and attending Bible study classes while a resident there. He was a former member of Bel Forest Baptist Church and the Churchville Odd Fellows.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Karen (Greg) Lynch of Abingdon and his son, Keith (Tracy) Sexton of Timberlake, NC; brother, Robert Sexton of Easton, PA; sister, Pauline Bieker of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Lauren Lynch, Emily Whitehead, and Jason Lynch.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by siblings Kyle Sexton and Irene Remines.
