Jack Nelson Chalk

Jack Nelson Chalk, age 73, of Edgewood, MD, died on January 1, 2011 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Franklin and Catherine Iona Shauck Chalk. A resident of Harford County for 13 years, he worked for Horstmeier Lumber Company in Baltimore for 28 years, and at Maryland Casualty Insurance Company for 19 ½ years as an industrial photographer. He enjoyed camping, was a member of the American Legion, and had served our country in the National Guard.

Mr. Chalk is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elizabeth Marie Timmerman Chalk of Edgewood, MD; sons, Joseph Chalk of Baltimore, MD and Robert Turner Sr. of Edgewood, MD; daughters, Dawn Chalk of Baltimore, MD and Melissa Turner of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Kenneth Chalk and wife, Yoko, of Anchorage, AK and Buzz Chalk and wife, Pat, of Hampden, MD; sisters, Patricia Miller and husband, Dean, of Randallstown, MD and Shirley Zang and husband, Joe, of Eldersburg, MD; two grandchildren, Gary Bragg Jr. and Robert Turner Jr., and great-grandchild, Zacharia Holden. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald Chalk.
