Jack Knoppel Sr., age 93, of White Hall, Maryland passed away on April 13, 2020 at Shrewsbury Lutheran Home in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Adam and Elsie (Day) Knoppel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He retired in 1989 from General Motors (Broening Highway) after 12 years of service as an electrician. He was a member of United Auto Workers of America Local #239 and IBEW Local #24. He was also a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Pylesville. He was a skilled craftsman and thoroughly enjoyed carpentry and creating things for his home.
Jack is survived by his wife of 73 years in June of 2020, Doris Knoppel; sons, Jack Leonard Knoppel, Jr. (Barbara) of Jarrettsville and Adam Charles Knoppel, III of White Hall; daughters, Darlene Seilback (Ron) of Baldwin and Cheryl Knoppel-Hanlon of Baltimore; 12 grandchildren and16 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Kurt Knoppel and sister, Jane D. Knight.
