Jack Day

Jack Day, age 82, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on April 12, 2018 at his home. Born in Yukon, West Virginia, he was the son of James Walter and Minerva Caroline (Cole) Day. He had worked at Bata Shoe Company and for the Firestone Tire Company. He was a family guy who loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Day is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Loretta Day; daughter, Carol Koester and husband, Jay Koester; son, Jim Day; three grandsons, Jimmy Day, Jamie Streb and Joey Koester; two granddaughters, Ashley Day and Brianna Koester; two great-granddaughters, Aurora Lynn Streb and Jacqueline Streb; great-grandson, JJ Koester; future great-grandson, James Jaxon Day.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Osborne, Lucille Stevenson, Zora Parsons, Earl Day and Gilbert Day.
