JOHN RAYMOND GAENG, ADVERTISING EXECUTIVE
J. Raymond Gaeng passed away on Sunday, July 18th at his home in Bel Air, MD. He was 81 years old.
Visitation will take place at St. Margaret's Church on Wednesday, July 21st, from 1-3 and 6-9 pm. The church is located at 141 Hickory Avenue in Bel Air, where Mr. Gaeng was an active member for 45 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, July 22nd at St. Margaret's. Interment to follow at St. Ignatius cemetery in Jarrettsville.
Mr. Gaeng graduated in 1946 from Mount St. Joseph's High School in Baltimore, and from Loyola College in 1955. He enjoyed a successful advertising career with W.B. Doner in Baltimore, appearing as the "Ford Man" in area commercials and advertisements. He started his own agency, Gaeng & Gang, after retirement from Doner.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances deSales Gaeng (nee Kelly). He is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Gaeng, his sisters, Gertrude Hyman and Patricia Jemellaro. He leaves behind five children and their spouses: Kimberly and Mark McBryan, Brian and Roxie Gaeng, Theresa and Paul D'Auria, Christopher and Mary Pat Gaeng, and Brendan and Christi Gaeng, 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
