J. Ralph Medley Sr.

J. Ralph Medley Sr., age 77, of Kingsville, MD passed away on June 25, 2013 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Marion, VA, he was the son of the late James Stewart and Bonnie Juanita Wyatt Medley. He owned and operated, for 52 years, Joppa Automatic Transmission and was a lifetime member of Joppa Magnolia Fire Department. He was also a member of the Masonic Jephthah Lodge #222 in Essex and the Boumi Temple as a Shriner in Hunt Valley. He was a gentleman farmer operating Stone Brook Farm and enjoyed collecting antique trucks. He was very active in supporting Ayers Chapel at White Hall.

Mr. Medley is survived by his devoted companion of 23 years, Esther Lee Ferren of Kingsville; son, James R. Medley Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Joppa; daughters, Vickie Sue Matney of Kingsville, Deborah Jane Switalski and husband, Peter, of Abingdon, Judith Ann Parks and husband, Bob, of Whiteford and Erin Watson of Kingsvillle; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, William E. Medley of Bel Air; and seven sisters.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Parks, James Parks, Jimmy Medley, Mike McAndrew, Jimmy Miller, Mike Schmidt, Brett Kulikowski and Jamie Bartenfelder.
