J. Almeta ''Meta'' Morgan

J. Almeta "Meta" Morgan, age 94, of Fallston, MD, died on November 12, 2009 at House of Jubilee Assisted Living in Fallston, MD. Born in Lebanon, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Lengle and Mary Barry Lengle Unger, and wife, for 57 years, of the late Marlin Wilbur Morgan. Both she and her husband grew up in Pennsylvania, moving to Baltimore in 1953. They were pioneering members of Loch Raven United Methodist Church where she was very active as a member of the altar guild, choir, and as a Sunday school teacher. A founding member of the Women's Club of Glen Hill, she was also involved with the Girl Scouts. A proud humanitarian, she enjoyed helping others and was known for her hospitality, and had a very strong network of lifelong friends. She was an avid cook, embroiderer, and seamstress, and a perfectionist. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and loved nature, spending many enjoyable times at the family cabin at Deer Creek.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her son, M. Larry Morgan and wife, Joan Carol, of Forest Hill, MD; daughter, Marie Morgan Riss of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Holly Ann Barnard and husband, Bob, of Baltimore, MD, Karen Lynn Holt and husband, Scott, of Glen Rock, PA, and Joel Morgan Riss of Seattle, WA; and great-granddaughter, Julia Morgan Holt of Glen Rock, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Mildred Blouch.
