Ivory Jewell Black

Ivory Jewell (Boggs) Black, 83, of Joppa, MD, passed away on February 28, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Weirwood, WV, she was the daughter of the late Cassie W. and Thelma V. Boggs and the wife of the late James B. Black Sr. She was very devoted to her family and still loved to cook all the holiday meals. She did her own driving, loved to play Bingo, go shopping and eat out at different restaurants.

Mrs. Black is survived by her son, Richard W. Black Sr. and wife, Kim, of Abingdon; daughters, Patricia A. Deck and husband, Michael, of Jacksonville, FL, Karen L. Eller of Aberdeen, Sandra J. Wood and husband, Frederick, of Joppatowne and Linda J. Blevins of Joppatowne; brother, William Boggs and wife, Judy of Berlin, MD; 14 grandchildren; and had 20 great-grandchildren with two more on the way. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, James B. Black Jr.
