Italia Cocco

Italia Cocco, age 91, of Jarrettsville, Maryland passed away on December 2, 2023. Born in Francavilla Al Mare, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Liberata (Palmerini) Galasso and wife of the late Rinaldo Cocco. She was a former member of St. Ursula Catholic Church (Parkville). She was a career seamstress, she enjoyed cooking and she and her husband enjoyed watching Italian television.

Italia is survived by her daughter, Assunta (Terry) O'Patterson; son, Remo (Cay) Cocco; sister, Adele Galasso; grandchildren, Stephanie (Brian) Smetana, Bryan O'Patterson, Anthony Cocco, Giovanni Cocco and Dominic Cocco; great grandchildren, Dylan Smetana, and Wyatt Smetana.

In addition to her parents and husband, Italia was preceded in death by son, Rossano Cocco.

A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church 1021 St. Mary’s road, Pylesville, MD 21132
