Israel ''Izzy'' S. Rosas

Israel "Izzy" S. Rosas, age 74, of Bel Air, MD passed away on February 28, 2012 at his home. Born in Realitos in south Texas, he was the son of the late Alberto and Isabel Saenz Rosas. He was raised in Falfurrias Texas and graduated from Falfurrias High School. He was the head Deacon at Long Green Valley Church of the Brethren where he volunteered for the church summer camp and was involved in many of the church functions. He also volunteered for Disaster Relief both in the United States and abroad. He liked to read and loved sports, spending time with his grandchildren and visiting his family in Texas.

Mr. Rosas is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Lee Rosas of Bel Air, MD; sons, David M. Rosas and wife, Jeanne, of Forest Hill, MD and Dennis S. Rosas of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Lucinda Leon and husband, Daniel, of Bel Air, MD; brothers, Alberto Rosas Jr. and wife, Elva, Joel Rosas and wife, Mary, and Reynaldo Rosas; sister, Aurora Garcia; sister-in-law, Betty Rosas; and grandchildren, Daniel and Maria Rosas, Gabriel, Isabella and Miguel Leon; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Gilberto Rosas.
