Irvin (Goodie) Goodman

IRVIN “GOODIE” GOODMAN, age 68, of Abingdon died at his residence on February 20, 2004. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, he was the son of the late Irvin Chester, Sr. and Katie Mae Wimbish Goodman. He worked in construction. He enjoyed walking and riding his bicycle and visiting with his neighbors. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife, Maelyn M. Cogswell Goodman; three sons, Michael A. Goodman of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Orin C. Goodman of Rockville; Jerome Goodman of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Linda Goodman of Richmond, Virginia; one sister, Mary Russell of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
