Iris "Coleen" Cosentino (nee Farley), 86, of Bel Air, MD lost her brief battle with acute myeloid leukemia and passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 24, 2015. Coleen was born in Piketon, OH on February 11, 1929. She graduated in 1945 from Mountain Mission School in Grundy, VA. After graduation, she moved to Baltimore and held jobs at SSA, Montgomery Wards and Martin Marietta. On February 11, 1950 Coleen married Anthony and they moved to Kingsville, MD. After raising their five children, Coleen began working part time as a clerk at the Fork post office. From there, she went on to become Postmaster at the Kingsville post office. Upon retirement, Coleen and her husband, Tony, moved to Bridgeville, DE where they enjoyed farming, crabbing and living close to the beach. Upon the death of her husband, Coleen returned home to Bel Air, MD to be with her family. Coleen enjoyed her various card clubs, cheering on the Ravens, Orioles and Terps with her family and socializing with her many friends.
Coleen is pre-deceased by her husband, Anthony Cosentino Sr., her sisters Barbara Collins, Alta Cooper and Marie Staggs. Coleen is survived by her five children, Sandra Woolford, Cynthia Karousos (Pete), Concetta Close (Thomas), Christine Dresher (Jeff) and Anthony Cosentino Jr. (Kathleen). Also survived by 13 grandchildren, Dennis Glorioso Jr. (Misty), Thomas Close Jr., Nicholas Glorioso (Melissa), Christine Dresher, Spiros Karousos, Angela Karousos, Michael Karousos, Julia Longchamps (Dustin), Rachel Woolford (Ryan), John Close, Mark Apicella, Jenna Cosentino and Maria Cosentino; and her five great-grandchildren, Jane Glorioso, Landon Glorioso, Kendal Glorioso, Elizabeth Glorioso and River Longchamps; as well as many nieces and nephews.
