Irene Spicer Choate

May 22, 1920 — December 7, 2003

IRENE SPICER CHOATE, age 83, of Street, died in Country View Eldercare, Darlington on December 7, 2003. Born in Cherry Lane, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Arlie Washington and Attie Beatrice Caudill Spicer, and the wife of the late Paul C. Choate. She retired from the Harford County Board of Education where she worked as a cafeteria manager at C.M. Wright High School. In the summer months she worked at the Children’s Fresh Air Camp in Benson. Her family said that she lived her life as a sharing, giving person. She loved helping and doing for others. She loved and enjoyed all animals, especially dogs.

Mrs. Choate is survived by two sisters, Reva L. Christian of Abingdon; Janice Dean of Joppa; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Samuel Spicer and Joseph Spicer.
