Irene A. Voran

Irene A. Voran, age 98, of Glen Burnie, MD, formerly of Bel Air, passed away on December 20, 2012 at Heartlands Assisted Living in Severna Park, MD. Born in Queens County, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward John and Emma Jahries Miller and wife of the late William J. Voran. A member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, she was a volunteer, for 15 years, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, reading, keeping up with current events, and walking, which she did every day. She was an outstanding seamstress and enjoyed needlework.

Mrs. Voran is survived by her daughters, Loretta White and husband, Bernard, of Glen Burnie and Rita Bittner and husband, W. Richard, of Millsboro, DE; grandchildren, Bernard H. White IV, Anthony White and wife, Laura, Stephen R. Bittner and wife, Kelly, and Andrew V. Bittner and wife, Mandy; and great-grandchildren, Abbie White, Christian Gould, Isabella White, Jake White, Rachel Bittner, Gregory Bittner, Tyler Bittner and Colin Bittner. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Gustav Miller, and sister, Dorothy O'Reilly.
