Celebrating The Life and Legacy of Immacula Dimanche
Immacula Dimanche, age 80, of Ocala, FL, passed away on December 28, 2019 at her home away from home in Bel Air, MD. Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, she was the only daughter of Magella Borno. Growing up in Port-Au-Prince, she met and married the love of her life, Willer Dimanche, Sr. Immacula was a devoted wife and mother who took pleasure in meeting the needs of her family and entertaining her friends. She and her family moved to New York in 1966 where they made a home for over 28 years. After retiring in 1993 as a home health aide, she moved to Florida with her husband in 1994. Immacula was the life of the party, and loved dancing and singing to all genres of music. She loved crossword puzzles, crocheting blankets and cooking.
Immacula had one son, Lesly Willer Dimanche, Sr., who transitioned three short days after her. Immacula is survived by her dedicated husband of 64 years, Willer Dimanche, Sr.; two sons, Willer (Felicia) Dimanche, Jr. of Arlington, TX, and Marcel Joseph Dimanche of East Orange, NJ; two daughters, Luzinska (Darly) Dimanche-Romain of Bel Air and Nerlande Dimanche of Bel Air; three sisters, Yvette Maurice of Winter Garden, FL, Marleine Mellon of Hollywood, FL, and Nicole Jadotte of NY; brother, Etzer Toussaint of NY; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Maurice Family for the love and support they provided to our mom. To Marie Maurice, Yvelle Maurice and Francois Maurice….We say Thank You!
