Ileen Ruby Evans

ILEEN RUBY EVANS, age 80, of Abingdon, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on September 25, 2003. Born in Sparta, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Ollie Crouse and Janie M. Wooton Smith, and the wife of the late Lee Bert Evans. She had worked as a finish worker at Bata Shoe Company for 18 ½ years. shoes.

Mrs. Evans is survived by four sons, Robert Lee Evans of Aberdeen; Herman Dwayne Evans of Edgewood; James Billy Evans of Bel Air; George Joseph Evans of Abingdon; two daughters, Ima Jean Flannagan of Abingdon; Wanda Sue Piotrowski of York, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: John Daughtry, Larry Daughtry, Donald Mayberry, Matthew Meadows, Lloyd Lewis, and Charlie Weis.
