Hugh Herbert Brown

HUGH HERBERT BROWN, age 81, of Bel Air, MD, died on August 15, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Carnegie, PA, he was the son of the late John Lester and Mildred Jean Fife Brown and was the husband of the late Ruth Zimmerman Brown. A resident of Bel Air for 51 years, he was a long time member of the Bel Air Lions Club, the Maryland Golf and Country Club, and was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. He graduated from Bucknell University in 1953 with a degree in math and received a Masters Degree from Johns Hopkins University in computer science. He had been employed by Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab where he was a computer systems analyst. He was a Civil War enthusiast.

Mr. Brown in survived by a son, David Brown and his wife, Donna, of Fallston, MD; two daughters, Jean Brown of Bel Air, MD and Janet Webster and her husband, Francis, of Radford, VA; three brothers, Stuart Brown of Sun City West, AZ, Bruce Brown of San Diego, CA, and Gordon Brown of Hummelstown, PA; and six grandchildren, Lauren, Justin, and Ryan Brown, all of Fallston, MD and Rebekah, Taylor, and Ellie Webster, all of Radford, VA.

Pallbearers were Justin Brown, Taylor Webster, Francis Webster, and James Hook, Craig Brown, and Michael Cornbrooks.
