Hubert L. Orr

HUBERT L. ORR, age 79, of Abingdon, Maryland died in Harbor Hospital, Baltimore, MD on March 13, 2005. Born in Robbinsville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Jacob Joel and Ethel Mae Stratton Orr. He had retired after 37 years as a stamp clerk at the Calvert Distillery. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, woodworking, and taking trips to his home place in North Carolina. He served his country in the military during WW II.

Mr. Orr is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth J. Orr; one son, Gary A. Orr of Baltimore, MD; two daughters, Deborah J. Berenger of Abingdon, MD; Linda L. Rohrs of Essex, MD; three brothers, Burl Orr of Robbinsville, NC; Lamar Orr of Knoxville, TN; Jacob Jay Orr, Jr of Bakersville, NC; one sister, Willa Mae Carringer of Robbinsville, NC; six grandchildren, Jessica Riggin; Timothy DePetris; Tracey Elwood; Carrie Berenger, all of Baltimore, MD; Kimberly Berenger of Abingdon, MD; Joey Orr of Glen Burnie, MD; and four great grandchildren In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Barbara L. Orr; and one sister, Patsy Martin.
