Howard N. Brooks

Howard N. Brooks, age 80, of Aberdeen, MD, died on August 22, 2009 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Burlington, VT, he was the son of the late Stanley Ernest and Vera Newton Brooks. He was a member of Bel Air Church of the Nazarene and a former Sunday school teacher. He loved jigsaw puzzles and spending time with his cats. An outstanding athlete, he excelled in basketball in high school and college. He enjoyed sports, woodworking, trains, and coaching basketball.

Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife, Patricia N. Brooks of Aberdeen, MD; daughter, Gail A. Ross and husband, Will; granddaughter, Amanda Herpel and husband, Jonathan; sisters, Barbara Dash and Laura Mitchell and her husband, Roy; sister-in-law, Edith Brooks; daughter-in-law, Melissa Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, John Howard Brooks and his brother, Stanley Brooks.
