Howard Monroe Nickols

Howard Monroe Nickols, age 83, of Churchville, MD, died on March 19, 2009 at his home. Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late James Monroe Nickols and Juanita Gertrude Hale Isom. A lifetime resident of Harford County, he had worked for Bata Shoe Company for 42 years where he was a sample maker, and then for Harford Systems where he was in maintenance.

Mr. Nickols is survived by his wife, Glennie "Loraine" Bell Nickols of Churchville, MD; son, William "Bill" H. Nickols of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Rebecca S. Foreman of Perryman, MD; brother, Harlow Nickols of Aberdeen, MD; sisters, Marie Hanks of Abingdon, MD and Lockey Hanks of Aberdeen, MD; and grandson, Travis Lee Foreman of Perryman, MD. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Junior Nickols, and sisters, Agnes Nickols and Carrie McDowell.

Pallbearers were William "Bill" Nickols, John May, Travis Foreman, Lawrence Taylor and Randy May. Honorary Pallbearer was Albert Foreman.
