Hilda Mary Schnell

Hilda Mary Schnell, age 86, of Fallston, MD, died on August 12, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Jacob and Nancy Margaret Miller Cronin, and wife of the late Robert Louis Schnell with whom she shared over 62 happily married years. She worked as a bank manager and was an active member of Fallston United Methodist Church. She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer, enjoyed gardening, loved life and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Schnell is survived by her son, Brigadier General (ret) John Charles Schnell and his wife, Jackie, of Fallston, MD; three grandchildren, Holly Upton and husband, J. Upton, of Millersville, MD, Jennifer (JJ) Hill and husband, Chris, of Joppa, MD, and Melissa Tilley of Bel Air, MD; and seven great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brayden, Jeremiah, Spencer, Joseph, Kacey Joy, and Alexis. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Joan Carol Tilley, and sister, Lois Miller.
