Herta Almacy

Herta Almacy, age 90, of Jarrettsville, MD, passed away on July 19, 2014 at her home. Born in Bensheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ewald and Elisabeth Heinrich Kellermann and wife of the late John Carl Almacy. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Almacy is survived by her sons, John M. Almacy and wife, Terri, of Frederick and Ronald E. Almacy and wife, Eugina, of Aberdeen; daughters, Karin A. Hancock of Edgewood and Cynthia A. Moats and husband, James, of Jarrettsville; brothers, Helmut and Dieter Kellermann both of Germany; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Danny Hancock.

Pallbearers were James Moats, Mark Burkhardt, David Almacy, Joseph Ciampi, Brian Fletcher and Ryan Burkhardt. Honorary pallbearer was Robert Fella.
