Herbert "Herb" L. Baker

Herbert "Herb" L. Baker, 85, of Joppatowne, MD, passed away on August 8, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Louis Frank Baker and Cora Lee (Moody) Baker and husband of the late Barbara L. (Jones) Baker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in France during the Korean War. He was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection and considered it his second home. He was an avid golfer enjoying his weekly golf league at Rocky Point Golf Club. Herb enjoyed working in the yard, horticulture and always dream of opening a nursery with his brother Lou. Herb feed his birds and squirrels and could watch them all day. Herb's greatest pride was his boys and enjoyed when they went golfing, fishing or just spending quality time.

Mr. Baker is survived by his sons, Tim Baker of Joppatown and Matthew Baker (Angela) of Pasadena; sister, Barbara Reynolds of Timonium; and grandchildren, Justin and Ryan. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Louis Baker.
