Henry Thomas Markowski

Henry Thomas Markowski, age 78, of Forest Hill, MD, died on April 13, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Adolph and Stella Turowski Markowski and husband, for almost 40 years, of the late Eileen M. Clarke Markowski. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of ILA Union 333 where he worked for 37 years at Locust Point as a Longshoreman. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Perry Hall, St. Francis de Sales Church in Abingdon, and was a past member of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Locust Point. He enjoyed horse racing, watching Orioles baseball, and playing cards with the Knights of Columbus, as well as, his friends.

Mr. Markowski is survived by his son, John P. Markowski Sr. and wife, Pamela, of Abingdon, MD; grandchildren, Paul M. Markowski of Abingdon, MD, Jeremy T. Sunkel of Delta, PA, Brandon M. Sunkel of College Park, MD, Joseph T. Markowski of Abingdon, MD, John P. Markowski Jr. of Abingdon, MD, Sarah J. Markowski of Towson, MD, Julie E. Markowski of Aberdeen, MD, and Michelle L. Markowski of Abingdon, MD; and brothers, Stanley Markowski of Fawn Grove, PA and Herbert Markowski of Ellicott City, MD.
