Henry Szatmary

HENRY SZATMARY, 81, of Bel Air died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on September 7, 2003. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Leon and Matilda Kaehler Szatmary. A draftsman, his last job was in the World Trade Center. He served his country in the Navy during WWII where he was with the Sea Bee’s. He was a resident of Harford County for seven years. He enjoyed oil painting, especially landscapes and seascapes and was a member of the Harford Art League.

Mr. Szatmary is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hazel Charlotte Gehrhardt Szatmary; three sons, Ray L. Szatmary of Penns Park, Pennsylvania, Paul W. Szatmary of Bel Air and Bart H. Szatmary of Port Deposit; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Fred L. Szatmary.
