Henry Patterson Fouse

HENRY PATTERSON FOUSE, age 69, of Bel Air, died at his residence on November 14, 2004. Born in Smyth County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Francis and Nannie Belle Griffey Fouse. A resident of Harford County since 1952, he worked at Bata Shoe Co. for 16 years, then at Wiley’s Shipyard in Port Deposit as a supervisor, and he retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground where he worked in maintenance. He was the longest attendee of Joppa Church of God where he was an active participant in several church activities. He was an avid bowler, loved to work in his garden, and enjoyed working on cars and computers. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. His family said his grandchildren were his life.

Mr. Fouse is survived by his wife of 48 years, Helen Elizabeth Fletcher Fouse; two daughters, Barbara L. Fouse Schneider of Bel Air, MD; Susan Elizabeth Fouse of Bel Air, MD; one brother, Edward L. Fouse, Sr. of Bel Air, MD; five sisters, Virginia E. Rutherford of Bel Air, MD; Lillian J. Jennings of Bel Air, MD; Josephine Fouse Barker of Bel Air, MD; Brenda L. Roark of Virginia; Nancy L. Mullins of Rising Sun, MD; four grandchildren, Brooks P. Schneider; Brandon D. Schneider; Bryan L. Schneider; and April E. Dixon, all of Bel Air, MD. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Frank Patterson Fouse.

Pallbearers will be: Dean Schneider, Brooks Schneider, Bryan Schneider, Bill Barker, David Jennings, and Eddie Mullins. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Roark.
