HENRY NASH KEESE, age 85, of Bel Air, died at Perry Point Veteran’s Medical Center on January 27, 2005. Born in Whiteford, he was the son of the late Harry and Mable Virginia Rodgers Keese. He worked for the U.S. Government as a test engineer. A resident of Harford County for his entire life, he was a member of the American Legion of Edgewood Post 17; the V.F.W.; the D.A.V.; Mt. Ararat Masonic Lodge of Bel Air; a past master during 1961; HAR-CE Forest 142 Tall Cedars of Lebanon; the Eastern Star, a 32nd degree Mason; and a member of the Shriners. He enjoyed gardening. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II.
Mr. Keese is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lola Virginia Pugh Keese; one son, Ronald H. Keese and his wife, Kitty Keese of Mebane, North Carolina; one daughter, Janet L. Starr and her husband, Bruce P. Starr of Fallston; one brother, Sterling R. Keese of Whiteford; one sister, Margaret Smith of Bel Air; five grandchildren, Stephen D. Carter of White Hall; Douglas A. Carter of Forest Hill; Todd E. Carter of Fallston; Michael S. Keese of Mebane, North Carolina; Jaclyn E. Starr of Reisterstown; six great-grandchildren, Stephanie K., Taylor L., and Jesse A. Carter, all of Forest Hill; Jarrett B. Carter and Thomas H. Carter both of White Hall; and Evan C. Carter of Fallston.
Pallbearers were: Ronald H. Keese, Steve D. Carter, Doug A. Carter, Todd E. Carter, Sterling Keese, and Bruce P. Starr.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 1850 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093-5142.
