HENRY McRAY EASTER, SR., age 81, of Aberdeen, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on October 15, 2003. Born in Roane County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Fred and Fanny Cox Easter. He was retired from Cytec Engineering as a maintenance mechanic. A 55 year resident of Harford County, he was a member of the Aberdeen Post of the American Legion. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing, and was a well-known handyman. He enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Easter is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Virginia Griffin Easter; two sons, Henry M. Easter, Jr. of Aberdeen; David H. Easter of Joppa; four daughters, Linda Simons Koch of Hawley, Pennsylvania; Elaine P. Morgan of Aberdeen; Debbie E. Schoeberlein of Havre de Grace; Susan M. Easter of Havre de Grace; two brothers, Jarvis Easter of Toledo, Ohio; Billy Jene Easter of Harriman, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, David A. Simons, III of Edgewood; Erin M. Shaw of Abingdon; Eric S. Morgan of Edgewood; Joel J.P. Simons of Havre de Grace; Brent A. Easter of Joppa; Johanna S. Koch of Hawley, Pennsylvania; Lindsay A. Easter of Aberdeen; Daniel S. Schoeberlein of Havre de Grace; Morgan E. Easter of Joppa; five great-grandchildren, Jessica M. Shaw of Abingdon; David A. Simons, IV of Edgewood; Julia M. Shaw of Abingdon; Randy A. Simons of Edgewood; and Brian M. Shaw, Jr. of Abingdon.
