Henry Jackson Pence

Henry Jackson Pence, age 80, of Kingsville, MD, died on May 10, 2011 at his home. Born in Chillicothe, OH, he was the son of the late George Jackson and Rachel R. Sullivan Pence and husband of the late Ruth M. Dewitt Pence. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired after 35 years from Eastern Stainless Steel. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Essex.

Mr. Pence is survived by his son, George J. Pence of Kingsville, MD; daughters, Rachel J. Johnson of Bel Air, MD and Helen M. Ellis of Abingdon, MD; stepson, Frank Skaggs; stepdaughters, Ann P. Cotton of Mabank, TX, Nancy Mislak of Baltimore, MD, and Ruthann Ewen of DE; brothers, Dwight Pence of Urbana, OH and David Pence of Chillicothe, OH; sister, Linda Castle of Chilicothe, OH; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to this parents and wife, he was predeceased by his stepson, Carl Skaggs; grandson, Nick Coleman; and seven siblings.

Pallbearers will be Roger, Josh, Frank, Bill, Elmer, George, and Charlie.
