Henry H. Mcnew, Jr.

Henry H. McNew Jr., age 88, of Rosedale, MD passed away suddenly at home on December 11, 2018. Born in Washington County, Virginia, he was the son of Henry McNew Sr. and Kathryn (Kelly) McNew and husband of Dorothy Crenshaw McNew of Rosedale.

Henry was raised on a farm in southwest Virginia, moved to Maryland in 1956, and began working at Martins. After several years, he and his wife founded McNew Excavating in 1963. He worked diligently until the age of 85. He loved his Lord, his family, and his work.

In addition to his wife, Mr. McNew is survived by son, Henry Dean McNew (Denise) of Joppa; two daughters, Catherine Rockman (Neal) of Columbia and Linda Ryea (John) of Rosedale; two sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Callahan of St. Leonard and Mae Goff of Stanley, NC; grandchildren, Timothy Ebey, Matthew Ebey, Jonathan Hendrix, Craig Ryea, Alex McNew, Jessica Daniels, Andrea Chryst, Megan Jones, Rachel Toussaint and Andrew Brewer; and 12 great grandchildren.
