Henry ''Bud'' Nies

Henry "Bud" Nies, age 84, of Elkton, MD passed away on November 11, 2013 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William and Lillian Townsend Nies. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for 38 years as an electrician and loved to do maintenance on homes for his friends. He was only happy when he was with his tools.

Mr. Nies is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dolores E. Eagan Nies; sons, Gary Nies Sr. of Elkton, Mark Nies and wife, Presca, of Zimbabwe, Africa, Ronald Nies Sr. of Baltimore; daughters, Donna Foard and husband, Larry, and Barbara Jackson and husband, Danny, all of Baltimore; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, William Nies and sister, Lillian Schmalbach.
