Henry Baumgart, Sr.

Henry Baumgart, Sr., age 62, of Abingdon, MD passed away on August 19, 2018 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of Calvin George and Martha Rose (Krajca) Baumgart. He was very involved with the Fire Department, which was his life. He had been a member of Abingdon Volunteer Fire Department since he was 19 years old, and had retired from the Baltimore County Fire Department as a paramedic in 1998. He was currently employed by ShopRite grocery store in the Festival and at the Box Hill 7-11 store.

Mr. Baumgart is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Regenia Buchman Baumgart; and his son, Henry J. Baumgart, Jr. of Abingdon. He is also survived by extended family from the Baltimore County Fire Department Station 10B, Abingdon Fire Department, ShopRite grocery store and Box Hill 7-11, and Mrs. Vivian Davis who was the family’s spiritual advisor and dear friend with St. Ignatius Church.
