HELEN WESTCOTT BAKER, age 85, of Aberdeen, MD, died on November 23, 2006 at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Rock Hall, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Blanchard and Nellie Charlotte Schneider Westcott and wife of the late Tevis Ridgely Baker. An Aberdeen resident, she and her husband were the owners of Baker & Baker Real Estate for over 40 years. She also co-owned with her husband, Baker’s Tennis Store on Main St. in Bel Air, and was an active tennis player in Harford County. She volunteered at Harford Memorial Hospital and was a past member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Havre de Grace as well as a past member of the Appearance and Preservation Committee in Aberdeen and the St. John’s Towers Advisory Committee in Havre de Grace. She was active in her bridge club and she loved to travel and enjoyed entertaining at her home. Her family said she was always known for her pleasant nature.
Mrs. Baker is survived by two daughters, Anne B. Dulik of Aberdeen, MD, and Gwendolyn W. Baker of Havre de Grace, MD; four grandchildren, Chris Dulik of Havre de Grace, MD, William Baker of Washington State, Michael Baker of Perryville, MD, and Jose Castro of Havre de Grace, MD.
