Helen W. Carmody

Helen W. Carmody, age 97, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on April 29, 2021 at Lorien Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of Frederick and Evelyn (Beal) Walter and wife of the late Michael V. Carmody and Clarence C. Pegram. Born and raised in Havre de Grace, Helen graduated from Havre de Grace High School and was a longtime member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and the Churchville Golden Age Club. She enjoyed reading and traveling with her friends and the Golden Age Club. Having a nurturing soul, she took care of many neighbors over the years as they aged and needed help.

Helen is survived by her sons, Michael T. Carmody, Terence E. Carmody and wife Paula, Kevin P. Carmody and Maurice R. Carmody and wife Linda; stepdaughter, Linda J. Pegram; grandchildren, Michael A. Carmody, Peter S. Carmody, Sean M. Carmody and Corey J. Carmody; and great grandchildren, Kian M. Carmody and Kieran A. Carmody.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene F. Walter and sister, Fern M. Barker.
