Helen V. Sills

HELEN V. SILLS, age 87, of Bel Air, MD, died on May 19, 2008 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Stepney, MD, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Harman and Edna Louise Cullem Harman and wife of the late James Albert Sills. Aside from her complete devotion to her family, she loved nature with birds and flowers being her favorite. She also loved to cook, read mysteries and go on road trips through the country. Throughout her life she always tended to whomever needed her help and never turned anyone away. She was a teacher, a listener, a best friend and had the spirit of a tiger. As the first of four generations of bonded women, she will be more than missed.

Mrs. Sills is survived by a daughter, Connie Klein of Delta, PA; a brother, Charles Harman of Stepney, MD; a sister, Irene Cassidy of Bel Air, MD; one granddaughter, Kristin Vines; grandson-in-law, Ric Asbury; and great-grandchild, Skylar Vines, all of Mt. Wolf, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, James Albert Sills Jr.
