Helen T. Abbruscato

Helen T. Abbruscato, age 90, of Bel Air, MD, died on October 5, 2009 at her home. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine Marie Mariano Brienza, and wife of the late Frank Anthony Abbruscato Sr. A member of St. Margaret Catholic Church since 1960, she also belonged to the Leeswood Association, and was instrumental in their First Garden Club. She was also on the Leeswood Sunshine Committee, providing flowers for families in grief. An outdoors person, she loved gardening and playing golf, at which she was still active at age 85. She also enjoyed playing bridge, gourmet cooking, arts and crafts, and was an excellent seamstress.

Mrs. Abbruscato is survived by her sons, Philip F. Abbruscato of NE, Frank A. Abbruscato II and wife, Anita, of Springfield, VA, and Peter J. Abbruscato of Bel Air, MD; Daughter, Francine R. Leach and husband, William, of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Jeanine M. Lindenstruth, Cara M. and David A. Abbruscato; and great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Joshua Lindenstruth, and Skylar M. Abbruscato.
