Helen M. Pezzica

On June 20, 2010, Helen M. (Mroczka) Pezzica, age 91, passed away while under hospice care at the Madonna Heritage elder care facility. She was born in Baltimore, the only child of Joseph Mroczka and Josephine Kramer Mroczka. She attended St. Casimer Elementary School, Seton High School, and St. Joseph College in Emmitsburg. In 1946 she married Peter F. Pezzica and for many years they resided in the Lochwood area of Baltimore. In 1976, they moved to the Bel Air area and became communicants at St. Margaret Church. Mr. Pezzica passed away in 1997. Mrs. Pezzicca was a "greeter" at St. Mary Magdalen Mission for many years. Helen was an avid reader and collected many books in her lifetime. She loved birds and her collection of Lenox birds reflected this. She worked as a secretary in Baltimore for many years.

She is survived by a sister-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews.
