Helen Louise Hooser (nee Ball), age 63 of Bel Air, MD, passed away on August 17, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Smith Ball Sr. and Hellen Louise Fitch Tawney and wife of the late Raymond Hooser. She was the owner and operator of Auto Supreme Beauty from where she retired after 20 years. An avid fisherman and camper, she enjoyed riding horses and watching NASCAR. She also enjoyed canning, doing ceramics, knitting and making cancer blankets for Club Cancer Crusaders of the East Coast. She bowled on a league in Delaware and raised Lovebirds, Parakeets and Cockatoos.
Mrs. Hooser is survived by her sons, David K. Ramsey Jr. of Clayton, DE and Kevin W. Ramsey of Bel Air, MD; daughters, Doris L. Ramsey of Baltimore, MD and Koren D. Attix of Dover, DE; stepchildren, Brian Hooser of Dover, DE and Rhonda Batzs of Seaford, DE; brothers, John S. and Ralph B. Ball both of Churchville, MD; sisters, Janice M. Presley of Churchville, MD, Dorothy M. Scarborough of Darlington, MD, Margaret J. Masone of Atkinson, NH and Linda S. Gentry of Bel Air, MD; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Ruth A. Barniker.
Pallbearers will be Kevin W. Attix, Richard E. Attix, Jordon T. Ramsey, Damian T. DeRohn, David M. Ramsey, Marcus A. Ramsey and John S. Ball III.
